Adaston take on Apprentice!

We are proud to announce that we have taken on our first apprentice. Adam Barnes, who was previously studying for his A-Levels at Harrogate Grammar School decided he would prefer to take on a carpentry and joinery apprenticeship.

By investing in the next generation of building contractors and recruiting construction and joinery apprentices we are enabling them to get a foot in the door and have successful careers in construction. This is driven by our Director, Andrew Whiteside, who believes that “helping young people to work during these uncertain times is vital”

Speaking to Adam, he said that “the education system never really suited me or the way I prefer to learn, and the COVID circumstances made me realise that. So when Adaston offered me the opportunity to start on a more practical path I took it, and now I feel as though I have a promising career ahead of me.”

I feel as though I have a promising career ahead of me.

Good luck to Adam for completing the rest of his Level 2 Apprenticeship!
